You may try to set even lower max streams value (like 4). This is basically trial and error - I've tested several combination of codecs and streams count (eg. raw mono pcm worked fine in my case but they are huge). Make sure you test on orginal samsung galaxy with 2.3 firmware as it tend to have similar problems.
