Ok, I got the whole license checker library/in-code bits sorted out. Contrary to what portions of the Dev Guide AND the sample app from the Google Market Licensing Library seem to indicate, ONLY two small bits of license checker code go in the main activity, not the whole set of code from the sample app, which does include the whole set. I understand that now, and it should have been obvious (would have been, except for the usual brain issues I've mentioned before).
Anyways, I'm back to where I was last night. When my test account (my developer account) is set to "Not Licensed", I get an error saying that it's not licensed, and the app exits, as it should. HOWEVER, when it gets a response (presumably saying it IS licensed) when I have the test account set to send a response saying that it is licensed, it hangs on "Check license". How many minutes is this supposed to hang here? LogCat confirms that the License Checker gets a response, clears the timeout, and that is the LAST message from the app, period. Btw, it's still hanging on "Check license" now...after running the app, then going into the kitchen to get my morning coffee, coming back in here, typing this, and so on. And since, I gather, this is NOT the norm, what license checker SHOULD I be using, if not the one recommended in the Dev Guide?
