I am not a Droid Developer or anything close. Hell, I can barely use my PC. That's why I'm suggesting this here. I have read that the G1 will finally get a touch screen keyboard sometime early next year. However, it will be a QWERTY keyboard. When the touchscreen keyboard comes out, I would love to see someone write an application that allows the user to alternate between the QWERTY keyboard, and the standard phone keyboard that we all learned to text on. I like the QWERTY keyboard, but I and several G1 owners that I know would like the option of using the kind of keyboard we're used to for texting. The old style keyboards just seem to be faster for one handed use than a QWERTY. Just an idea.
