Guys,

On the android-platform list there's a discussion going on about
protection of apps and their data. As part of this I would be grateful
for peoples opinions;

1) Whether or not they feel apks must be protected from being read.
(please remember it's currently possible to extract APKs downloaded from
Market using the method I've described -with a deliberate error- at
http://groups.google.com/group/android-platform/browse_thread/thread/be1f7d3d376e4d11/96c991164328afe4

)

2) Whether or not the ability to move apps on an SD card between Android
devices without the need for a re-installation is useful.

3) Whether or not developers would be happy with all apps having to have
their data and apks protected at the expense of the feature mentioned in 2.

Thanks,

Al.
