All,

Can I suggest that in apps which are not available on Market the following
meta-data tag is added to the manifest;

<meta-data android:name="homeURL" android:value="[insert_url_to_homepage]" />

This should help those apps which point a user to a download page for new
versions.

By using this tag it gives us a system which is compatible with the
current and cupcake releases, does not affect any existing programs, and
is easy to programatically check.

What do people think?

Al.
