Hi, I have been looking into this example: http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/SearchableDictionary/index.html
This uses "android.intent.action.SEARCH", and if you noticed in the example, you would have to press search button to invoke the search bar. and press back it will return back to the original blank activity/ screen.
