Hi, is it possible that InputMethodManager mgr = (InputMethodManager) getSystemService(Context.INPUT_METHOD_SERVICE); // only will trigger it if no physical keyboard is open mgr.showSoftInput(input, InputMethodManager.SHOW_IMPLICIT);
