I could probably teach my nephew how to bypass these apps. He's eight years old and has never held a smartphone. The technique these apps use is security theater, more likely to be used by malware than anybody who truly understands security. I have suggested to Google that the technique in question is a security risk; to date, they have declined to address it. Real security (e.g., your "enterprise" scenario) comes from stuff in the firmware, as others have indicated. -- Mark Murphy (a Commons Guy) http://commonsware.com | http://github.com/commonsguy http://commonsware.com/blog | http://twitter.com/commonsguy _The Busy Coder's Guide to Android Development_ Version 3.6 Available! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
