I'm writing a custom keyboard view for android. My keyboard is not rectangular, I would like to make parts of the view rectangle transparent and allow touch events on the transparent portions to go through to the underlying activity.
There are two major problems. One is that android assumes that the keyboard is opaque, so it stops updating the portion of the view under the keyboard. Is there a way to turn off this behavior? Another problem is the keyboard captures all events in its rectangular bound, even if I return false in onTouchEvent. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
