thanks, xavier, but i tried that and it didn't work for me. i'm trying to reinstall the entire sdk because of this problem, but am now encountering problems downloading the platform packages. they seem to be missing from the android repository. shouldn't there be more listed here than just the sdk tools? http://dl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml
