There aren't too many good open source viewers I've heard of.  So if
you want to, you can, but you have to buy a license for an expensive
library.  There are some open source viewers out there, presumably if
your app is open source (or they have a less restrictive license), you
should be able to hoist the code from these apps into what you need.

The short answer is no: afaik, there isn't an extremely standard open
source library that people seem to be using to do this.
