As stated on the Unlocking the Boot Loader article at http://unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com/, "you may void the warranty of your phone and/or any warranty from your carrier if you unlock the boot loader." The warranty is only voided if you unlock the boot loader. Getting the code from the website does not unlock the bootloader on the device; therefore, it does not void the warranty.
