On the recent x86 desktop processor, protected mode is used to ensure processes don't jack with other processes' memory. How does Android and the ARM processor typically handle this?
One reason I'm wondering is because my VIZIO tablet got jacked up and required a factory reset. I called VIZIO trying to figure out how this happened.
