I am trying to figure this one out as well - more specifically I want to use the front-facing and rear-facing cameras from the same device and have them in the same file (or otherwise simultaneously played/streamed). Have you come across any answers since you posted this? There does seem to be a bit more documentation in the ICS SDK on the Camera function, but I could find a straight answer to the 2-cameras 1 device issue...
