Ok, for the first point, I can agree with you.

For the eventual solution, I can't.
For example, if I want to check the SSHD status on a different port than 22
(maybe 2222, or anything else), it's difficult (even impossible).

In this case, I will need to do a complete list of every services (too long
to do that).


So, I will "block" the use of my application to the Wifi mode.

Possibly. It is also possible that this is just the behavior of your mobile
carrier, due to various firewall and transparent proxy settings.

Actually use the port via the protocol that the server should be using on
that port. For example, if the server is an HTTP server, perform an HTTP
request.
