Consider posting on the NDK mailing list, this one is for the Java SDK.

No, you cannot use the existing Makefiles as is. Yes, you need to
use the NDK provided tools.

Then you've got a lot to learn :) Otherwise, if your project is fairly complex,
you might want to get someone who groks make to help out.
Unless you have very specific questions, a mailing list may not
be the best place to get help.
