I gave a way to do it which is independant of the development environment.

actually a single command could have been enough:

sed -i 's#old.package.name#new.package.name#g' `grep -Rl 'old.package.name' *`


but if you have a very simple package or colliding packages that may have had issues.

Hopefully we are developer and are not scared of the command line and/or writing some regex.
