Anyone know how to do this? I can't surface the information, if it is even possible.
I am using View.setSystemUiVisibility to remove soft buttons for true full screen display. When this happens, ICS will snatch the next touch screen event to cause the buttons to reappear, which is fine. I have found that if the device does not have soft buttons, ICS will still snatch the next event anyway, which doesn't really make sense and is annoying to the user. If I can detect if the device has hard buttons, then I can just not call View.setSystemUiVisibility so that ICS won't unnecessarily steal my events for what is essentially a no- op.
