Hi, I want to use the adb shell command: dalvikvm in order to start a new dalvik virtual machine When i try to use it like this: dalvikvm Myclass .it doesn't work When looking at logcat i see that the following error: can't open dex cache /data/dalvik-cache...... As i read this is because i don't have access to that folder. so i changed the ANDROID_DATA environment variable to =/sdcard in adb shell using export. and when trying again i get: can't open dex cache /sdcard/dalvik- cache...... Seems like nothing changed...
1. Does anyone know what's the problem. or even if it is possible to start a new dvm using adb (not forking from zygote process like am command, maybe dvz or app_process) in non rooted devices? 2. Is it possible to tell dalvikvm to skip the dex optimization part? or to tell him that i already have one optimized....
