Hello All,
In Android 4.0.1 and earlier release,
GoogleServicesFramework, GooglePartnerSetup, Maps setup Alarms via
AlarmManagerService of the type ELAPSED_REALTIME_WAKEUP and
RTC_WAKEUP.
Here is a breakdown of the number of wakeups from each in a span of
one hour,
com.google.android.gsf ---- 6
com.google.android.apps.maps --- 3
com.google.android.partnersetup --- 1
Together these wakeups cause over 50% increase in the current
consumption during sleep.
Kindly help me understand what these apps are doing and why it is
necessary for these apps to wakeups alarms.
