I'm not sure if this behavior is correct, but my service's broadcast receiver is not receiving CONNECTIVITY_ACTION intents when the phone is sleep. I need to execute a task when the wireless connectivity drop, but it's not working. As soon as I wake the phone up, the intent is received.
I know I have to use wake locks inside the receiver if i have a task which will linger on after the receiver returns, but the problem is the receiver isn't getting called in the first place. So do all broadcast intents get muted when the phone is sleep? I've read that the receiver will already hold a wake lock so it's body block can get executed. So what's the point of holding a lock when it's not gonna get triggered during sleep time in the first place? I appreciate your support. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
