I don't know why, but as soon as i replace my bindService > bindService(new Intent(this, MyService.class), mConnection, > Context.BIND_AUTO_CREATE); with the following: startService(new Intent(this, MyService.class)); bindService(new Intent(this, MyService.class),mConnection,0); eerything works fine.
