If the device does not provide an option for unmounting the card, shutting down would seem to be prudent. So, for example, the Transformer Prime offers a way to unmount a micro SD card via a Notification, so that is safe and you can leave the Prime on. However, the XOOM did not (at least through the upgrade to 3.2, and not that I could find), so I always powered down when ejecting the card. It's possible that I'm just paranoid. -- Mark Murphy (a Commons Guy) http://commonsware.com | http://github.com/commonsguy http://commonsware.com/blog | http://twitter.com/commonsguy Android Training in NYC: http://marakana.com/training/android/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
