Are you synhronizing local data / cache data on your Android device? 1. Define how often you want to run synchronization. E.g. Once a day? Every five minutes? The period will depend on the domain you are working I guess.
2. Use AlarmManager http://developer.android.com/reference/android/app/AlarmManager.html to trigger every synchronization.
