At the moment my thoughts are mainly going towards an android-xml-to- po-converter tool. This would be very useful since gettext is a quite ubiquitous translation tool in the open source world. See my related feature request at Launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/rosetta/+bug/275290.
