However, one fragment of one line of code is not usually enough to diagnose your issue. The problem inevitably occurs in the code you have not shown. How are you trying to connect to that server? It is unusual for a device to have a network connection to a PC, which is what you'd need for there to be a socket connection. You can use ADB (the Android Debug Bridge) to port-forward an accessible PC port to one on the device. Did you do that? Or did you do some form of USB tethering? How are you connecting?
