I am in the same boat as you are. I was ready to fly all the way from Singapore to attend as I feel that any successful developer should have the chance to attend. That means, at the minimum, my trip would have cost me $3000, but it would have been worth it for the networking opportunities.
Oh well, I will save my money for something else.
