Mark, ok, let me start over... I built the app in the resource center that uses the google mapview (or whatever they call it). It shows where I am. My whole neighborhood is not built yet on the map! My tract is 6 years old. I go to Google Maps on the Web and my tract is there looking like it was taken recently. Same for Bing Maps. I post a thread on this forum asking why the maps in the Google Mapview for Android are 7 years old. I get an answer that Google doesn't update that tool anymore!!!
It sounds crazy for Google to abandon the map tool used for android apps. This means that apps written on the Android platform that use mapping will be virtually useless because Maps, Map data, POI's that are 7 years old are of little use. In other words, why would Google Corp. do such a stupid thing?? I can't get an answer from anyone.
