Hello, I would like to install an APK from a Google Mail attachment. Only I did not get that to work yet, in the emulator. I did prepare a virtual sdcard and run the emulator with the "-sdcard" switch and the card is available in the emulator. I did check "Application settings" - "Unknown sources" in the settings. Only, when I click the attachment in the browser it says "downloading" but then I get some unknown file type message.
Is it possible at all to install an APK from a google Mail attachment or doesn't that work at all? Is it about the special Mime type required for APK downloads? If so, wouldn't it be great if Google configured that Mime type on their servers for downloads from Mail? regards --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
