If you're posting code snippets from your personal apps then yes, I agree with Justin, the snippets are absolutely necessary to receive help here.
If you're posting code snippets from a proprietary software you develop for a company, then be very precautious and consult with the legal department of the company you're working for, if you can post code snippets and under which conditions you can do that.
