Hi All,
few day ago I already posted this topic/question, but for some reason it
did not appear in the list.
Can anybody help me with information how to return to a surfaceview (still
present on the Activity stack) that had been detached from before, or at
least resume the holding main activity?
If for instance I leave the surface view by means of the Back Arrow
(U-turn-arrow on my device), every thing works as expected:
*surfaceDestroyed(SurfaceHolder holder)* gets called and I can recall this
surfaceview from my main activity.
Should I need to leave the surfaceview by selecting any other activity on
the background stack, the surfaceview-activity is now pushed to that stack
and visible.
However, if I try to return to the activity holding my surfaceview
(selecting it on the stack), the whole application is forced to shut down.
I could not find out any functional way to pick up my activity holding that
surfaceview again. I looked at the sample code of LunarLander which makes
use of surfaceview,
just to find out that it also crashes when trying to resume after a change
to another activity. Studying the Android docs I could not find a solution.
Any helpful hints would be greatfully appreciated. (Maybe my resent post
lacked from politenes, do not know, why it has not been posted yet).

Thanks in advance
