One simple method to keep from updating too often is to publish a beta version of your app with a different package name in the market. We do that and it has worked great. The beta has its own comments and statistics and people understand the app may be updated rapidly to cure fresh bugs. Meanwhile, the production app keeps going without anyone being annoyed by constant updates.
We advertise the beta in the regular app and include a link to the market. Last beta had about 2,500 people testing it so when the beta was over, we had a rock solid app. -John Coryat -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
