If I'd done something wrong on the install, I would expect it to fail right from the start, not just mysteriously quit working after it WAS working perfectly. As for the linux version, I'm on a Mac now, and I haven't run linux in about 12 years or so. Even if the linux version runs on a Mac, I should, of course, be using the Mac version.
