I found something today (keep in mind, I've never been able to run the emulator before) after I got Eclipse back up. For the emulator, after you've run it once, it has a "Build in snapshot" option (or something like that). First time to load my tablet (more or less): 1 minute 55 seconds; time to load it the second time with that box checked (can't check it the first time or it won't run at all): about 1 second, maybe less.
