I have already installed the emulator and it is running from the adb.
The emulator is showing the icons from different applications. But, I
need my .apk to appear in this application section. The following
instructions I have were to click Start, Run, type cmd, click OK. The
screen appears with the following:

C:\Documents and Settings\ John Smith>

I need to know what exactly to type from this point to get my .apk to
appear in the application section.

(This is probably a newbie question, but I am brand new to this.)
