So, the method that you originally cited as the source of the problem is not called anywhere in the newly posted code!
I'm guessing, this time, that "i" is a data member? The messaging part seems right, to me. I suspect that you problem has nothing to do with that. Is the loop in run() actually running? I notice it says "while (stopped)". G.
