Thanks Zoran. I just re-ran my test app and it worked with the NO_PROXY setting !!
Another probably dumb question. Is this guaranteed to not adversely affect internet connectivity? In other words, just because it worked in my test case, does that mean that other mobile carriers that specify a proxy in their APN settings will also be fine?
