I'm using the android 20.0.3.v202208082019-427395 tools in eclipse indigo, the eclipse key bindings make no difference to the problem (emacs, default..). I also have enabled double-click open mode.
I create a new android application and a couple of activities. I have Package Explorer view open. Under res/ I have, say, activity_main.xml and activity_two.xml in layout and menu dirs. With no files open for edit I double click on one of the layout/ xml files and sometimes this initiates a file move operation!! And its obvious the operation is to move the file into the dir below it (ie menu) so a warning dialog comes up that the target dir already contains the file so I Cancel. Worse, if I try this with the menu/ files and I double click an xml files causes it to be moved into values/ dir unconditionally so I need to Undo Move to reverse it. Once I manage to get the files all open without any moves, if I then simply switch between them (single click in package explorer view) I also sometimes get a copy dialog come up to confirm the file name I wish to copy the xml file to even though I haven't initiated a file copy. I'm fairly sure there is no odd mouse movement in the process, I can reproduce it often though the copy or move only occurs about 25% of the time. The other thing to note, I don't get the same issue with .java files or strings.xml etc. Anyone else seen this? Any way around it? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
