his suggestion is a step in the right direction... it just takes some work to accomplish properly.
Android does not have a text widget that automatically resizes the font to fit the available space, so you'd have to create one... if you don't want to start from scratch, just do a search for auto resizing text view and you'll find some nice implementations on Stackoverflow (they basically work, but need some fixing to work properly in all cases).
