FWIW, I don't use the full ACRA library but implemented my own solution based on the concept. Automatic bug reports to Google Docs and a prompt on crashing that leads to a Bug Report Activity where the user can opt to send a report without having to use their personal email account, which I think would dissuade many people from sending reports. It's pretty lightweight, very transparent (dialog on restarting app after a crash) and was not much effort. Well worth it in my opinion.
