Maybe Google fixed things a moment ago? I had a related issue that although I live in The Netherlands, I could not even find the Dutch "ING Wegwijzer" (for finding local ATMs) today when searching Android Market with my dev phone 1. However, now I suddenly can, and I also find PimPam (did not try it though).
