I have a 2 year old android phone HTC Mytouch 3G Slide that HTC stopped updating android on - last update was android 2.2. I want to use it to develop apps and wondered if I can update android to the latest version, or is there some dependency that would prevent me from doing so. The phone is unlocked from T-mobile, but not rooted.
