Hello AD,

I'm having some trouble querying CalendarContracts.Instances.

It seems that the Events table is updated immediately when a recurring
event is created, however, Android does not always expand the event into
Instances.

For example, if you create an event that recurs yearly (eg. birthday),
Android creates an entry in Events, but no entries in Instances.

Same goes for creating an event that recurs frequently, but the first instance
occurs far off into the future. (eg. recurs every 2 days, but starts 3
years later)

To conclude, it seems that Android does not create an entry in the Instances
table if the instance is too far off into the future!!!

So, to program insuring against this type of behavior, does anyone know how
often does Android expand CalendarContracts.Events into
CalendarContracts.Instances
entries?

Also, how far off into the future does Android expand Events into Instances?

Let me know if my questions are too vague and causes confusion.

Thank you for your time.
