1) It seems like you could figure this out just by setting a few breakpoints and following what happens when the long-press menu is activated.
2) Do you really have a separate copy of code for each fragment that differ only by the FRAGMENT_DAY_NAME constant? This is bad practice for a number of reasons plus the extra work required (if you find a bug, you'll have to make edits in all those modules?).
