All,
This is question on Contacts Provider in android.

        We have contacts in out phone book created by multiple accounts
(Google/Linkedin/Facebook).
We need to create a new account "ABC" and a group "XYZ" and add contacts
created from multiple sources into this group.

To do this we did the following:
1. Create a new account "ABC" and a group "XYZ"
with this a entry got added to groups table and we got a group ID: 1000

2. Now for the existing rawContacts(irrespective of the source) we added a
new row in Data Table, with mimetype
 "vnd.android.cursor.item/group_membership" and groupID ==

*1000*
With this we were able to create a Group and assign existing rawcontacts to
that group.

We also tested syncing of a Google account and it worked fine.

Is this correct way of using ContactsProvider ?
Only concern is, we are modifying a Data rows owned by someother account,
will this cause any issue ?

Regards
