Is it possible to hook up an IP Camera to an Android device and view it in the Camera app/interface?
Presuming that there isn't an "out of box" way to do this, the thought was that rather than building a special camera app for the IP camera, we'd provide some kind of camera "proxy" to support any IP Camera that uses RTSP, ONVIF, or PSIA to connect/control the camera. Hence, some way to tell Android "here is a Camera" and then use any Camera app for Android to record, take a snapshot, etc. It gets us out of the Camera app replacement business and provides a way to leverage all of the other cool camera apps that are out there. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
