I'm attempting to implement the conventional countdown shutter delay strategy for a custom camcorder app, just like the stock camera app. I've implemented the visual and functional part of the countdown, but now I have to implement the audio part. This emits a tone every second and multiple tones per second in the last 2-3 seconds (probably 2). There are apparently multiple ways to do this. My initial searches found several possibilities, but I'd like to know what people would think is the best way to do something like this, and what the tradeoffs would be for other options.
