I'd agree with Jonyd. I've been developing on a 2010 vintage core i5
with only 4GB RAM. It mostly has worked ok - it takes between 1 - 2
mins to put everything together and run it, and to be honest I've
always avoided the emulator which took approximately a year* to start.
I have a couple of devices I test on and that has always worked much
better.

I'm just upgrading to a new i7 with 16 GB RAM and an SSD as we speak
so looking forward to the improvement!

Kind regards

Quentin.

*possibly a slight exaggeration, maybe by a month or so.
