Hi, I'm implementing Play services for the first time, in an app (game) which targets all audiences, including children under 13. So I was wondering, does the use of achievements (and potentially leaderboards) from google play services, are ok with COPPA rules for children? I'm thinking, on one hand, the app itself does not use personal information for achievements (only sending progress on these achievements) BUT the user is then connected to play games, and this may be considered as sending personal informations? I already use admob and I used the "tagForChildDirectedTreatment" tag.
For example, would I need to ask for parental authorization (or ask if the player is less than 13) for authentication to play services? Or maybe for the whole game? And I'm really sorry if by any way this question does not belong in this forum! Thank you Joe -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
