I have an amd 8 core chip and 16gb ram yet it takes nearly 5 minutes to
load a virtual device. It wouldn't be so bad if it was responsive once it
had loaded but it is still just as bad after loading. Clicking or swiping
takes maybe 3-5 seconds to register and even longer to execute. Surely
android-sdk doesn't hate AMD processors THAT much? I know the intel haxm
thing is supposed to greatly improve performance but I wouldn't have
expected such issues with my processor.

I tried both increasing and lowering (as one reply suggested) ram on the
avd neither made any noticeable difference.

What else could be wrong?
